One Commander v0.3.3 (beta)

One Commander is an advanced file manager for Windows, based on bitCommander.

It features a very helpful interface with a folder structure presentations in nested tabs, rather than the explorer drop-lists.

The application is also touch-screen friendly and supports swiping from right to left to view the contents of child folders.

To help make sense of filenames, the app also has intelligent filename shortening that will attempt to present filenames in a more readable manner. Another useful part of the interface is relative file dates, showing the number of days since last modified etc. rather than just giving a date and time.

The software is still very much under development at time of writing (July 2014), but it is coming along nicely and you should check it out.

NOTE: One Commander requires .NET 4.5 (you will already have this on Windows 7 and Windows 8 if up to date). It also requires VS2012 Redistributables (again, you should already have this.) For support of thumbnails of raw and other, you will need to install the Camera Codec Pack.

While One Commander is in beta, it is only available as a portable (no installation).
