NextGen Media Player is a multimedia player that plays most common video and audio formats in the wild.

It uses its own built-in set of codecs and filters, and so does not require the installation of a codec pack or any modification to the system's multimedia settings.

NextGen Media Player is quite user friendly and can be operated at least as easily as any other video player out there.
There are more features available just by right clicking in the main window and you can find the usual control buttons underneath the video section.

The app supports the majority of media formats, including AAF, 3GP, 3GP2, 3GPP, H261, H263, H263I, H264, MOV, VOB, GIF, ASF, AVCHD, AVI, CAM, DAT, DSH, FLV, M1V, MKV, M2V, FLA, FLR, SOL, M4V, MATROSKA, WRAP, MNG, MPG, QUICKTIME, MPEG, MPEG-4, MP4, MP4V, MXF, ROQ, NSV, OGG, RM, SVI, SMI, SWF, WMV, it can deal with several subtitle extensions such as SMI, SRT, RT and SUB, and can even play broken AVI files.
