PDF to MOBI is a simple lightweigt and free tool that can convert PDF documents into MOBI files.
NOTE: This software will not work unless you download KindleGen from Amazon, and then put it in the same folder as PDF to Mobi. To get to the program folder, run PDF to Mobi and click "Folder" and it will open it for you.
Once that is done you can select compression options and away you go!
